Nantahala Health Foundation is pleased to announce the release of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Consulting Services related to a Public Support and Organizational Structure Feasibility Study.

The purpose of this feasibility study is to assess the most effective organizational structure—public charity vs. private foundation—that aligns with NHF’s mission and the evolving needs of our community. The findings will inform the development of a long-term organizational sustainability plan.

  • Proposal Deadline: Tuesday, September 2, 2025, by 5:00 PM EST
  • Budget: This is a federally funded, firm fixed-price contract not to exceed $25,000, inclusive of all personnel and travel costs. Proposals should clearly outline how the project objectives will be met within this budget and note any anticipated challenges.

Important Dates

  • September 17: Top candidates will be invited to meet with the selection committee via MS Teams.
  • October 13: Representatives from the selected firm will attend an in-person board meeting in Franklin, NC, to meet board members and begin the discovery phase of the study.
